Week 3 : New friends ,New prespectives

New friends ,New prespectives

This week added bright colours to the course. Those wonderful colours are new friends. Gaining new friends from all over the world give the course new prespectives.  The ownership which prevails the atomosphere is very motivating and exciting. This week also makde the course richer and more valuable as it focued on one of the most difficul skills in teaching and learnig language, oral/aural skills.  Aricles sugges about oral/aural skills opens new windows for EFL students' pronunciation and speaking. Knowing that there are many accents which may be acceptable would enhance students' performance. This new prespectves will mtivate students to pracice English freely and break the barreir of using the language.

This week also was so full of links and site which may help in developing listening and speaking skills that I could't keep up with this huge information.

So getting Delicious link was very useful at this time of the course.

As usual, I enjoyed a lot of what we discussed and learned .

  1. Samira I feel as happy as you do. Although there is too much to read, plus my interest to continuing reading other sites, we have been learning many useful tools.
I think that not only oral/aural skills are difficult to teach when you are not a native speaker. In my experience I had hard time with writing skill. Our students do not use to write essays on their mother tongue, can you image the level of difficulty to start writing them in another language? Proudly I can say that when you as teacher study, read, write and try to find the best way to teach your students it is easier to reach your goals.

  2. Samira, all of us are so happy reading and learning many useful things through the web. We need to make an effort and buy out time to make researches in order to know new techniques as for how to teach our students and how to teach ourselves. Hence let us make wise use of these new material we now have, we are pretty sure our students will love it once we share it with them.
